Manfrotto Assignment

Thought I would toss up the Manfrotto Assignment that we had to shoot for Multimedia class, pretty open and fun assignment. So I shot my lovely girlfriend with a nice fleece blanket for a background, got the Zeus 1250 pack w/ the AlienBees ring flash - which I have wanted to try out for soo long now, and wasn't disappointed

I was stoked to do that ooze dripping off the Impact Label font, I used to do a ooze dripping font for literally every assignment, book report, short story, movie review, or essay titlepage I had in elementary school... most teacher were not amused... I thought it was the coolest thing from the NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK years, to the Limp Bizkit years. But I haven't used it for anything in so long...

So if I learned one thing from this assignment it would be to never forget the power of childhood memories.

Preliminary Environmental No2

This week I got the privilege of shooting Breck Wardle for my environmental. Great model and great times, thanks to Rachel Power for assisting during the shoot.

Breck nailed it, she rocked a faux fur vest from Aritzia, American Apparel denim print one piece and 4.5 inch Spring kicks. sorry Riedeau Centre... but I'm a student and all of which are going to be returned this week lol... thanks for the loaners?

This was shot from my balcony, at f/11 loving the depth of field, loving the clouds as well... looks dirty and RAW, tell me what you think!

I'm hoping to get into the studio this week so follow up for some sheltered portraits! until then check out Josh Asselstine's Blog, my good friend, he has some new and great band shots up!
